Lebanese president commends armed forces for preserving security

Lebanese President Michel Suleiman on Monday extended his appreciation to the armed forces in preserving security and preventing chaos. Suleiman urged all parties to \"embrace\" the armed forces and avoid targeting them \"because it is in everyone\'s interest without exception to stand by the state and particularly its security agencies.\" He lauded the efforts exerted by the security forces in preserving stability and security in the municipal by-elections held in some villages and towns, warning that not a single party would enjoy security if the country ends up in chaos.
