Lebanese foreign minister Adnan Mansour asked his UN Ambassador Nawaf Salam to lodge a complaint with the UN Security Council (UNSC) against Israel's repeated violations of Lebanon's sovereignty. Mansour informed Salam about the Israeli systematic breaches of Lebanon's sovereignty, and told him to file an urgent complaint with the UNSC against the Jewish state, official media reported. Mansour said the "Israeli acts of aggression are blatant violation of the Lebanese sovereignty and relevant UN resolutions particularly resolution 1701, " noted the media. The UNSC approved resolution 1701 which ended the Israeli aggression against Lebanon in the summer of 2006 through which the UN peacekeeping mission increased number of its personnel. However, Israel continued its violations of the airspace and sovereignty of Lebanon, and these breaches have risen recently.
