Libyan army controls Ras Jedir border crossing on Libyan side

The Libyan army, on Monday, took control of the Ras Jedir border crossing on the Libyan side, which has been closed for the 12th consecutive day. The Tunisian and Libyan sides decided to create a joint monitoring commission tasked with co-ordinating actions regarding the checkpoint's activity and providing safe working conditions there. According to the Tunisian authorities, the border crossing is expected to open shortly.
