
Libyan interim Prime Minister Ali Zeidan and Foreign Minister Mohamed Abdelaziz visited the Russian Embassy in Tripoli which came under attack on Wednesday, the Libyan news agency LANA reported. The Libyan officials arrived at the site of the incident on Wednesday night. During the visit, the Libyan prime minister \"expressed his gratitude to the security forces and the citizens who contributed to the defense of the Russian embassy and elimination of the aftermath of the attack,\" the news agency said on Thursday. On Wednesday evening, unidentified men , driving two cars, attacked the Russian diplomatic mission in Tripoli. According to Libyan police, about ten armed people drove up to the embassy in two cars. They opened fire at a parked embassy car and the embassy. The attackers fled after police arrived at the scene. None of the Russian diplomats and local guards were injured in the shooting. The Russian embassy building sustained minor damage.
