Three women were killed after lighting struck them in Indian-controlled Kashmir, police said Wednesday. The lightning struck Tuesday evening at two places in Ramban and Doda districts, south of Srinagar city, the summer capital of Indian-controlled Kashmir. "Two women--Ashru Devi and Nisha Devi were killed in Ramban after lightening struck them outside their house," said a police spokesman. "In another similar incident another woman Beega Begum was killed along with her five cattle heads when lightening struck them in Dandal village of Doda." The region's plains were lashed with heavy rains Tuesday, while as upper reaches witnessed snowfall.
