Malaysia has donated 2 million US Dollars to the Palestinian National Authority, the Malaysian Foreign Affairs Ministry announced. In a statement issued today, the Ministry said that the move was “part of Malaysia’s continued assistance to the Palestinians”, testifying to “Malaysia’s full support to the Palestinian cause and its solidarity with the people of Palestine”. The statement added that the contribution was handed over by the Malaysian Foreign Affairs Minister Dato’ Sri Anifah Aman to her Palestinian counterpart Dr. Riyad Al-Maliki during a ceremony held the premises of the Permanent Mission of Malaysia in New York on 22 September 2011.
