
Malaysian Religious Affairs Minister Dato' Seri Jamil Khir hailed the role of Al Azhar and the Association for Al Azhar Graduates in spreading a moderate religious approach.
The minister hailed Al Azhar's keenness on adopting values of coexistence, security and peace for all people.
This came during the minister's meeting with members of a delegation of the World Association for Al Azhar Graduates (WAAG), who is visiting Malaysia currently, headed by Osama Yassin, deputy chairman of the Association, Ahmad Fawzi, foreign branches manager, accompanied by a Malaysia WAAG delegation.
The minister said he was highly impressed with association's releases which refute radical ideology, especially Nour magazine for children, according to a statement by Al Azhar.
