Mauritania calls on UNSC to take action to protect Palestinians

Mauritania has called on the United Nations Security Council to shoulder its responsibilities and take the necessary measures to protect the Palestinian people from the brutal Israeli aggression against the Gaza Strip, stressing that this aggression would threaten security and stability in the region. This came in a statement issued by Mauritanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation in which it condemned the Israeli aggression on Gaza. At least 23 Palestinians have been killed, and more than 256 have been injured by Israeli shells since Wednesday, media reports said.
