Medenine: Customs guards exchange fire with Libyan cars

An exchange of fire took place on Friday night in the Saharan area of Sidi Touay, on the Tunisian-Libyan border, between a brigade of the Tunisian customs guard and Libyan cars attempting to illegally cross the frontier.A customs source told TAP agency that the customs guards noted the presence of cars making attempt to cross the border, as it was patrolling the Sidi Touay area. Shots were fired in the direction of the brigade as it was trying to apprehend passengers of those cars who immediately drove back to Libya.
