The Russian president Dmitry Medvedev is meeting with the US leader Barack Obama in Seoul at the Nuclear Security Summit. The meeting is taking place behind closed doors. Apart from nuclear-related issues, the main topic of the summit, Medvedev and Obama will also discuss bilateral relations between the US and Russia. Representatives from some 50 countries have arrived in the South Korean capital to address the risk of nuclear terrorism. In another way Obama thanked Dmitry Medvedev for the cooperation the two leaders had acheived, saying that he could not wish for a better partner. “What concerns cooperation between our two countries, it is extremely important for peace and stability in the world, and in this work I could not even wish a better partner than Dmitry, who helps to strengthen our relationship,\" he said at a nuclear security summit meeting in Seoul. \"I have no doubt that in his new job he will continue positively influence on what happens in the world and will work to strengthen relations between our countries,” Obama said after meeting the Russian President. Russian President-elect Vladimir Putin has said he would nominate Medvedev as a candidate for the post of Russian Prime Minister.
