Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesman, Ramin Mehmanparast, stressed that nobody has the right to impose his agenda on the Syrian people who are the only ones who should decide their political future. In a statement to Iranian Students' News Agency (ISNA), Mehmanparast said launching terrorist operations against the Syrian government and people by the armed groups doesn't prove their worthiness to determine the future of the country. He added that continuation of such circumstances will repeat the phenomena of providing the opposition in the countries of the region with weapons and military equipment as it is happening in Syria. He expressed his country's rejection of resorting to violence and weapons and the foreign support , asserting that the people are the only ones who give legitimacy to the government.
