Justice Minister Ahmed Mekki warned on Monday that the absence of justice always leads to violence, urging all Arab governments to respect that law is the source of power and that the source of law is people's satisfaction. Mekki, during the 28th session of the Arab justice ministers council here, called for unifying all legal terms into one agreement to be binding to all Arab states as well as unifying Arab judicial systems, especially as most of them are based on French or English laws. "Let us agree on one judicial system and abide by it," he said. "Priority should be first given to unifying procedural laws in all Arab countries then we move to civil code," he added. Mekki urged all Arab justice ministers and Arab League chief Nabil el-Arabi to meet Egyptian President Mohamed Morsi later on Monday.
