
An engine speed loss is a preliminary reason for an emergency landing of a Mi-8 helicopter in the Krasnoyarsk territory, the head of the Krasnoyarsk territorial department of the aircraft safety watchdog Rosavianadzor, Anatoly Khramtsov, told Itar-Tass on Wednesday. The helicopter left the town of Kodinsk to inspect wild-fire prone areas, he said. Soon after the takeoff the helicopter’s commander took a decision on the emergency landing after he found out that the engine loses speed. Onboard Mi-8 owned by the Krasavia state-run air carrier there were six people - three crew members and three passengers. All of them are alive and healthy, the press service of the Krasnoyarsk territory emergencies department told Itar-Tass. The accident took place 82 kilometers from the village of Vanavara in Evenkia. Krasavia’s fleet includes 47 planes and helicopters, including An-2, An-24PB, An-26, An-26B-100, An-32A, An-3T, Yak-42, L 410 UVP-E20 planes and Mi-8AMT, Mi-8MTB-1, Mi-8T helicopters. The company carries out regular regional flights, emergencies flights to liquidate technogenic and natural calamities and first medical aid flights.
