Lebanese Prime Minister Najib Mikati on Tuesday discussed economic repercussions of the Syrian crisis on the Lebanese economic and banking sectors during his meeting with the Deputy Secretary of the U.S. Department of the Treasury, Neal Wolin, in presence of US Ambassador to Lebanon Maura Conelly. Mikati assured the Lebanese government’s continuant procedures to activate the economy, increase the volume of deposits in Lebanon, Arab and Foreign investment operations therein, Lebanon’s state-run National News Agency reported. For his part, Wolin thanked the Lebanese government for the cooperation between Lebanese Bank and the US financial authorities.
