Militants torch 2 oil tankers in southwest Pakistan

Armed militants torched two oil tankers in Mastung district of southwestern Pakistani province of Balochistan on Sunday. According to officials, four armed militants opened fire at two oil tankers in Dasht area of Mastung setting the tankers on fire. The drivers of the tankers immediately fled from the scene during the attack avoiding any human loss. Security forces reached the scne immediately after the attack but the militants managed to escape the scene unhurt. Four oil tankers carrying fuel for Chinese companies were torched in southwestern Pakistani province of Balochisan on last Sunday. Levies official Ghullam Haider told that militants opened fire on four oil tankers carrying fuel for a Chinese company, operating in the Saindak Copper-Gold project, in Chaghi district of Balochisan. Moreover, security forces carried out raids seizing huge caches of arms and explosives, arresting 28 suspects in different areas of Balochistan on Sunday. Security officials said that 350 kilograms of potassium, 15 walkie-talkie sets, 119 detonators, four remote control devices and other arms and ammunition were recovered during the raid. The Frontier Constabulary (FC) officials stated that militants were planning to carry out an attack in Quetta city of Balochistan during the holy month of Ramadhan.
