Minister al-Rashidi chairs GCC meeting in Jordan

Kuwait's Minister of Social Affairs and Labor Thikra Al-Rashidi presided over the 41st GCC coordinative meeting, helde ahead of the 33rd Arab social affairs' ministers gathering later today. Al-Rashidi told KUNA that the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) meeting aimed at coordinating the council's member states efforts concerning issues connected to the social development in the region and the Arab world. The session discussed the efforts by the Arab Fund for Economic and Social Development (AFESD), the fund's budget, preparations for the Arab development, and the Arab strategy to combat poverty amongst other issues, said Al-Rashidi.
