Mohammed and CPs attend inauguration of IDEX 2013

His Highness Shaikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, along with Gen. Shaikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, attended the official inauguration of the International Defence Exhibition and Conference, IDEX and the naval show, NAVDEX, today. The ceremony started with the playing of the UAE National Anthem. This was followed by a performance from the Fijian military veterans troupe, entitled “ War Spears Dance” and “Fan Dance”, proceeded by a performance by a Japanese group, entitled “Strike terror into the hearts of enemies”. The main feature of the opening ceremony was a spectacular show of power in which the land, air and naval forces of the UAE demonstrated their professional skills in front a large number of guests from Arab and friendly countries. The opening ceremony was attended by Shaikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and the Chairman of the Dubai Executive Council, Shaikh Abdullah bin Salem bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Deputy Ruler of Sharjah and Deputy Chairman of the Executive Council, Shaikh Ammar bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, Crown Prince of Ajman, Shaikh Mohammed bin Hamad bin Mohammed Al Sharqi, Crown Prince of Fujairah,  Shaikh Rashid bin Saud bin Rashid Al Mu’alla, Crown Prince of Umm al-Qaiwain and Shaikh Mohammed bin Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Crown Prince of Ra’s Al Khaimah.
