The autumn session of the Mongolian parliament opened Monday with a set of draft laws pending for discussion. President Tsakhia Elbegdorj, Prime Minister Norov Altanhuyag, and Z. Enkhbold, chairman of the Parliament, attended the opening session at the State Palace of Mongolia. The autumn session is scheduled to discuss a list of draft laws, including bills on the 2013 state budget, savings insurance, the stock market, and an amendment to food safety laws. The Democratic Party won 31 seats in the 76-member parliament in this year\'s elections, becoming the biggest party in the country\'s supreme legislature. However, failing to secure an absolute majority, the party had to form a coalition with the Civil Will-Green Party and the Justice Coalition.
