Judicial Police in the district of Berkane in eastern Morocco arrested a repeat offender on Monday under suspicion of attempting to rob a bank.
Morocco’s General Directorate of National Security (DGSN) announced that, “according to the initial information, the suspect has been caught in possession of a suspicious sum estimated at MAD 142,790 and tools used for committing robberies.”
The DGSN went on to say that “the investigations revealed that the suspect was involved in a burglary crime committed from the inside of a residence, as well as his involvement in the bank robbery case that occurred last December in the Silwan area of Berkane, northeast of Morocco.
The DGSN concluded its announcement saying that “the suspect is currently in custody, and the investigation is still underway to arrest the other suspects in the robbery.”
