Eight accords were signed at the tenth high-level government meeting between Spain and Morocco. In particular, residence permits for service passports were suppressed and a memorandum was created to simplify procedures to obtain residency papers for certain professions. Other accords concerned cooperation in culture, education, sports and transport. Spanish Premier Mariano Rajoy said the meeting was very important to strengthen the excellent relations currently existing between Morocco and Spain. I am convinced that these relations, which are increasingly growing between the two kingdoms, will benefit the people of these countries, said Rajoy. The head of the Spanish government stressed the need to boost commercial relations, promote investments and generate employment and wealth. Spain, which hosts the second largest Moroccan community living abroad after France, is currently Moroccos second main commercial partner. I call on Spanish citizens to take advantage of this market to develop the economies of the two countries, stressed Rajoy.
