Egypt president Mohamed Morsi flies back to Cairo following a one-day visit to Uganda to mark its 50th independence anniversary Egyptian president Mohamed Morsi has arrived back in Cairo Tuesday evening after a brief one-day visit to Uganda\'s capital Kampala, where he took part in the country\'s celebrations of its 50th independence anniversary. During his visit, Morsi sat down with Ugandan president Yoweri Museveni, discussing bilateral relations and issues related to the countries of the Nile Basin region. This is Morsi\'s second visit to Africa since taking office late June. His first visit was to Ethiopia in July, where he attended the African Union Summit. During the tenure of ousted president Hosni Mubarak, relations with Nile Basin countries deteriorated, reaching climax in March 2011 after Ethiopia said it planned to build a dam on the Nile despite a long-running row with Egypt over the use of the river.
