Lawyers of ousted president Mohamed Morsi wrapped up a two-hour visit to him at Borg el-Arab prison on Tuesday. In press statements, Mohamed el-Damati, member of Morsi's defense team, said the visit came to convince Morsi to task former presidential candidate Mohamed Selim el-Awwa with defending him before the court on January 8. The visit's outcome will be announced in a press conference to be held later in Cairo. The delegation comprised Mohamed Selim el-Awwa, Mohamed el-Damati, Mohamed Tosson, Ossama el-Helw and Ossama, Morsi's son, a security source told MENA. The visit was paid during regular visitation hours. On November 4, Cairo Criminal Court decided to postpone the trial of Morsi and other 14 defendants of the Muslim Brotherhood group to 8th of January 2014, to review documents of the case which includes charges of murder and instigating murder.
