A recent opinion poll has put President Mohamed Morsi\'s approval rating at 63 per cent at the end of his sixth month in office, compared to 57 per cent at the end of the fifth month. The results of the poll, carried out by the Egyptian Center for Public Opinion Research (Baseera), were published on Sunday. The approval rate is still lower than that at the end of Morsi\'s first hundred days in office, when the Islamist president reached 78 per cent approval. In the last poll, fifty per cent of respondents said that they would vote for Morsi if elections were held tomorrow, while 32 per cent indicated they would not. Eighteen per cent stated that it would depend on who the other candidates were. The survey was conducted using landline and mobile telephones. The size of the probability sample was 1,833 Egyptians, all above 18 years old. Baseera is an independent, private research entity. It was established in April 2012. From Ahramonline
