Moscow’s mayor does not experience any pressure from the federal centre, and all issues are being considered ‘comfortably,’ Mayor Sergei Sobyanin said in an interview with the Moskovskiye Novosti daily. He said President Vladimir Putin has never “called to say: this is to be done this way.” “You should realise I have a big history of working in various bodies of the power,” Sobyanin said. “Both at the presidential administration and at the government work my colleagues, friends, with who I am quite comfortable to settle many issues.” He does not consider himself to be among “either the right or the left.” “I have always considered myself to be a person, who is aimed at solving a task, no matter what colour or sort it is.” “I do not care what I am being called. Call me whatever you like, as for me the important thing is to have everything working and moving. I am not using any ideology, especially a radical one, while approaching a problem,” the mayor said. Moscow’s Mayor Sergei Sobyanin disclaimed the rumours about his possible appointment the country’s prime minister. He said in an interview with the Moskovskiye Novosti daily that the Moscow mayor’s chair was not too tight for him. “I used to be working at the administration, at the government, and I do have an idea what it is like,” he said. “The work as a mayor, I believe, is most interesting of all of those. It is straight work, where you are deciding by yourself, ask for advice, then implement and see the final result.”
