A senior Iranian lawmaker said Thursday that the new US-made allegations against Iran are a new round of propaganda against Tehran. Alaeddin Boroujerdi, Chairman of the Majlis National Security and Foreign Policy Commission, made the remarks in his meeting with France’s new Ambassador to Iran Bruno Foucher. Boroujerdi termed those unfounded allegations as political pressures imposed by Washington on the Iranian nation. “Language of threat is not a logical tool for solving international problems,” said the parliamentarian. He then called for further cooperation between Tehran and Paris, stressing that the two sides’ parliaments should help clear up any likely misunderstandings. For his part, the French envoy described Iran as a country with an ancient civilization that plays an active role in international arenas, especially in fighting terrorism.
