
The first annual edition of the All India Management Association Conference (AIMA) was held today in Dubai. The event is being organised under the theme, 'Building Human Capital for Knowledge Economy."
Being held under the patronage of Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Culture and Knowledge Development, the event aims to enhance cooperation between the UAE and India in various academic and economic domains.
In his speech during the event, Sheikh Nahyan greeted the Indian Embassy and the All India Management Association (AIMA). He highlighted the level of cooperation between the UAE and India regarding human resources in order to build a knowledge-based economy.
He also stressed the keenness of the wise leadership to enhance the level of human resources, technological and economic development as pillars of welfare and sustainable development.
Sunil Kant Munjal, Senior Vice President, AIMA, and Joint Managing Director, Hero MotoCorp Ltd & also Chairman, Hero Corporate Service Pvt Ltd is the chairman of the conference.
AIMA's maiden conference in Dubai aims to create a platform for thought leadership for a constructive dialogue in key areas of mutual interest between India and the UAE, including building human capital for the knowledge economy since the future of both countries depends on the excellence of their people. Finance, infrastructure, urbanisation and healthcare are also vital sectors where the two countries can gain significantly by collaborating with each other.
The conference brings together policy makers, CEOs, thought leaders, entrepreneurs and investors from both India and the UAE to discuss strategies to promote cooperation between the two countries and emerge victorious in the emerging knowledge economy.
