Namibian Foreign Minister Utoni Nujoma said on Sunday Iran’s resistance in aquiring peacefull nuclear technology despite all pressures is praiseworthy. He made the remark in a meeting with his Iranain counterpart Ali Akbar Salehi here where he said Iran and Namibia share similar stance on many regional and international issues and in many international organizations such as Non-Aligned Movement. Referring to Iran-Namibia relations dating back to Namibia\'s Independence Day, Nujoma extended his especial thanks to Iranians for their solidarity with and political and spiritual support for Namibia\'s Independence. He underlined the need for expansion of Iran-Namibia cooperation and said “We must find ways to make plans on expansion of bilateral ties operational. The Namibian foreign minister expressed his country’s readiness to expand ties with Iran in different fields such as economy, trade, industry and mines, energy and agriculture. Nujoma extendes the Namibian President’s heartfelt greetings to his Iranian counterpart and officially invited Salehi to pay a visit to Namibia. Salehi pointed to Africa’s high position in Iran’s foreign policy and expressed Iran’s readiness to cooperate with Namibia in various fields. He also expressed Iran’s readiness to broaden ties with Namibia in different fileds such as economy, trade, petrochemical industry, energy, joint investment, medicine, industry and mines, technoligy, agriculture and science.
