Nasrallah Urges Freedom-Seeking Nations to Model on Iran

Lebanese Hezbollah Movement Leader Seyed Hassan Nasrallah called Iran a \"role model\" for those world nations which are seeking freedom, independence, grandeur and glory.In a message to the 5th International Conference in Support of the Palestinian Intifada in Tehran, the Lebanese Hezbollah leader called Iran an advanced model for all those nations which are in quest for freedom, independence, grandeur and glory. In his message, Nasrallah said Iran has created a big development and made a big achievement which has caused confusion of the US, its proxies and the Zionist regime of Israel. He said Iran\'s revolution made the Islamic Ummah (nation)j hopeful about reviving its role and faith as well as moral, religious and political values, and showed that Muslim nations can have the ability to build their future. The Hezbollah leader hailed Iran for gaining full independence and making giant progress in different fields despite the West-backed Iraqi imposed war on Iran in the 1980s and the numerous economic boycotts and sanctions imposed by the US-led West on the Islamic Republic. He said after the overthrow of Shah as a first step, the Islamic Republic found an outstanding role and position in standing against the hegemony of the colonialist powers over the region, and took up a unique responsibility for uniting the Islamic Ummah and setting Palestine free. \"I proudly state that the Islamic Republic has had courageous, strong and stable stances on supporting Palestine and Quds and these position-takings have even been more in number than the positions Iran has taken on its own interests,\" Nasrallah added. \"Given the fact that Iran has one of the most advanced ruling systems in the world in terms of freedom, participation and independence, whatever has and is still happening in Iran is not due to the domestic issues of this country, rather it has been and is due to Iran\'s situation, role and responsibility on Palestine and Quds and also its support for freedom-seeking and resistance movements, specially in Lebanon and Palestine,\" he added. \"And this is the advanced and proper model for all those nations which are in quest for freedom, independence, grandeur and glory,\" he said.
