NATO\'s decision-making body, the North Atlantic Council, will convene for a special session on Friday to discuss its military operation in Libya, a NATO official said on Thursday. NATO ambassadors will start their meeting at around 3 p.m. local time (1400 GMT), one day after the alleged killing of former Libyan leader Muammar Gaddafi, the official told Xinhua by phone. NATO commanders reportedly are recommending to wrap up the military campaign in Libya, and NATO ambassador are expected to consider the recommendation and decide the future of the mission on Friday. So far, NATO has not formally confirmed the death of Gaddafi. The official said that NATO Secretary General Anders Fogh Rasmussen will release a statement soon on Libya.
