Defying the international community calls on Israeli government to stop illegal settlement activities on occupied Palestinian land in the West Bank, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu vowed to forge ahead with the settlement policy. In a press statement carried by Israel Radio, the Israeli Prime Minister's Office said Netanyahu has not changed his stance towards settlement building and expansion in the West Bank. The Israeli PM ruled out any possibility for freezing settlement activities at that period. The statement comes following a warning by Israeli National Security Adviser Yaakov Amidror that the construction in West Bank settlements is causing Israel to lose the support even of its best friends in the West.
