The cabinet meeting held on Friday in the government palace, in Kasbah, decided to issue a second government decree on the first house programme.
During a meeting with the press held after the cabinet meeting, Spokesman of the government Iyed Dahmani explained, in a statement to TAP, that this new decree will allow the beneficiaries of the programme to acquire a house, according to their means, without restricting themselves to real estate developers, as stipulated in the first government decree.
He added that this new decree completes the first legislative decree of the first house programme.
It is part of the commitments of the National Union Government to implement the provisions of the Finance Law 2017.
On January 31, 2017, the government published a decree in the Official Gazette of Tunisia (French:JORT) stipulating that housing under construction or to be achieved by real estate developers will be proposed under this programme.
Article 61 related to the financing line for the consolidation of the housing sector under the First House Programme, adopted as part of the Finance Act for 2017, stipulates that the Government will create a financing line of 200 million dinars for the benefit of the middle income categories, under which a credit on favourable terms will be provided to cover the self-financing required for the acquisition of a house.
The details of the procedures to be followed to benefit from this facility will appear in a government decree.
