National Institution of Human Rights (NIHR) President Said Mohammed Al-Faihani received United Nations (UN) Officer in Charge of the Middle East and West Asia Division Darko Mocibob.
UN Resident Coordinator and UNDP Resident Representative Amin El Sharkawi attended the meeting which focused on NIHR-led role to strengthen cooperation with the United Nations.
The two sides reviewed the dedicated role of the Bahrain’s watchdog to promote human rights, in compliance with international obligations and covenants, highlighting the challenges and impediments.
They also agreed to strengthen cooperation and support efforts towards attaining shared objectives.
