Obama congratulates VP for candidacy

The US President Barrack Obama has congratulated Vice President Abdu Rabu Mansour Hadi for the approval of his candidacy for the early presidential elections to be held on February 2012. Obama\'s counterterrorism adviser John Brennan contacted Hadi, affirming that the US would support Yemen politically and economically to help it overcome its current crises. He pointed out that the US-Yemeni joint cooperation in combating terrorism would continue , stressing that the US stands by Yemen\'s security, stability and unity. For his part, Hadi highly appreciated the attitudes of the US towards Yemen and its support to transfer power peacefully and democratically.
