US President Barack Obama said on Wednesday he looks forward to sleeping three or four months after his term in office is over.
“I want to remind you all that, after a good chunk of sleep when I get out of here, I’m going to be right up and with you doing some work,” ABC News quoted Obama as telling a laughing audience during a press conference.
“So, you’re not rid of me yet, even after we’re done with the presidency. But I am going to take three or four months where I just sleep. And I hope you all don’t mind that.”
Where Obama will be resting his head is not yet certain, though the First Family will remain in Washington D.C. while younger daughter Sasha Obama finishes high school.
“We haven’t figured that out yet,” the President said. “We’re going to have to stay a couple of years [in Washington D.C.] so Sasha can finish. Transferring someone in the middle of high school – tough,” Obama added.
Sasha, 15, is currently a sophomore at Sidwell Friends School. “We gotta make sure that she’s doing well …until she goes off to college,” Obama continued. “Sasha will have a big say in where we are.”
Malia Obama, 17, the President’s older daughter, will begin college this fall. Malia has not yet announced where she will be attending, though Columbia, NYU, and Stanford seem to be top contenders.
