Hundreds turned out in the Netherlands on Saturday as part of worldwide demonstrations against economic misery, corporate greed, social injustice and government social cutbacks, according to Dutch media reports. More than 1,000 people rallied at Amsterdam’s stock exchange and over 500 gathered in the center of The Hague. Protesters in Amsterdam clapped and whistled for 15 minutes and chanted slogans including “Make noise, let the whole world know.” A number of protesters set up their tents to occupy the square in front of the Amsterdam stock exchange.
