
Oman's Sultan Qaboos Bin Said received on Thursday visiting Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe on bilateral relations. According to Omani news agency (ONA), the meeting discussed a number of issues related to the existing cooperation between the two countries and means of enhancing the good relations between them to achieve the common interests of the Omani and Japanese friendly peoples.The meeting was attended by Yousef bin Alawi bin Abdullah, Minister Responsible for Foreign Affairs, Darwish bin Ismaiel al-Balushi, Minister Responsible for Financial Affairs, Mohammed bin al Zubair, Advisor to the Sultan for Economic Planning Affairs, Dr. Omar Abdul Munim al-Zawawi, Special Advisor to the Sultan for External Liason, Dr. Mohammed bin Hamad al- Romhi, Minister of Oil and Gas, Dr. Ali bin Masud al-Sunaidi, Minister of Commerce and Industry, Dr. Ahmed bin Mohammed al-Futaisi, Minister of Transport and Communications, Dr. Fouad bin Jaafar al- Sajwani, Minister of Agriculture and Fisheries, Dr. Salim bin Nasser al-Ismaily, Chairman of the Public Authority for Investment Promotion and Export Development, Khalid bin Hashil al-Meslahi, the Sultanate's accredited ambassador to Japan.It was also attended by Katsunobu Kato, Deputy Chief Cabinet Secretary, Yasutoshi Nishimura, Senior Vice-Minister of the Cabinet Office, Eiichi Hasegawa, Special Advisor to the Prime Minister, Isao Iijima, Special Cabinet Adviser, Nobukatsu Kanehara, Assistant Chief Cabinet Secretary, Policy Aides to the Prime Minister Imai Takaya, Hiroshi Suzuki, Mutuya Nakai, Makiko Yamada and Kazuhisa Shimada, George Hisaeda, ambassador of Japan to the Sultanate, Shinsuke J. Sugiyama, Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs and Dr. M. Miyagawa, Director-General of the Middle Eastern and African Affairs Bureau.
