Presidential spokesman Yasser Ali said Monday that only professor Samir Morcos and poet Farouk Gweda resigned from the presidential team. Ali, meanwhile, said that President Mohamed Morsi will only approve their resignation after holding meeting with them. Presidential spokesman Yasser Ali denied reports claiming Morsi's advisory team has rejected the recent constitutional declaration. Ali reiterated that Morsi's constitutional declaration aims to meet aspirations of the Egyptian people. This declaration is a must to hold accountable those responsible for the corruption as well as other crimes during the former regime, the spokesman said. He asserted the temporary nature of the president's decree. The decree was not meant to concentrate powers, Ali said. Presidential spokesman Yasser Ali quoted the president as asserting his keenness on engaging into a wide dialogue with all political forces to reach a common ground for reaching a national consensus on the constitution. He deplored the death of two young men in the recent clashes between supporters and opponents of the constitutional declaration. Ali also asserted that there are no decisions have been issued for military intervention.
