Cairo - Akram Ali

A number of  political and revolutionary movements including the Muslim Brotherhood, and supporters of the president-elect Mohammed Morsi, have called for demonstrations to be held tomorrow under the banner "Full Handover of Power to President-elect" and to celebrate the win of the new president, and reinforcing the demands of the revolution which include the cancellation of the complementary constitutional declaration, and abolition of the parliament's dissolution decision. The revolution's Board of Trustees called on the Egyptian people and relevant bodies to participate in the demonstration in Tahrir Square and  other squares in the country's  governorates to highlight the illegality of removing certain  powers from the president by the military council. The Board of Trustees affirmed in a press statement the need to continue the sit-ins in Tahrir Square until all their demands are fulfilled, especially the cancellation of the complementary constitutional declaration, abolition of the decision to dissolve the People's Assembly, non-prejudice of the constituent assembly that will draft the constitution, the release of all  political detainees, and the return of the army to its barracks to return to their role of safeguarding the country without intervention in civilian life. For its part,  the Egyptian Front for Defending Armed Forces has announced it is organising its own  demonstrations in Nasr City, Cairo, before the Unknown Soldier memorial which they have called "The Million Man Demonstration to Recognise the Constitutional Declaration,"  with the participation of groups such as "Children of Mubarak," and a number of national powers to ask the new president to recognise the complementary constitutional declaration issued by the Supreme Council of Armed Forces (SCAF) and to respect the decision of the dissolution of the People's Assembly.
