Pakistan’s President Asif Ali Zardari has invited Qatari businessmen to invest in his country. At a meeting held here yesterday with Qatari businessmen and representatives of the private sector, President Zardari outlined the attractive investment environment in his country and incentives offered by the economic legislation and tax breaks for foreign investment, Deputy Chairman of Qatar Chamber of Commerce and Industry (QCCI) Mohamed bin Towar al-Kuwari said in a statement following the meeting. He said that during the meeting, they exchanged information on the identification of industrial sectors and economic optimisation of Qatari businessmen in Pakistan, and exchange of visits by the two countries’ businessmen to identify possible joint venture projects and means to promote them. Bin Towar said President Zardari’s visit to Qatar was important and reflected the Pakistani officials’ interest in promoting economic relations and creating opportunities for foreign investment.
