
The Control of Narcotics Substances (CNS) court ordered the seizure of assets belonging to former federal health secretary, Khushnood Akhtar Lashari during hearing of the ephedrine quota case on Saturday. The properties of three pharmaceuticals were also ordered to seize and the wife, sons of former premier Yousuf Raza Gilani and former federal minister Makhdoom Shahabuddin submitted the details of their assets in the CNS court. While submitting the details of the property the lawyer told that the sons and daughter of the former premier were having little amount in their bank accounts. He added that Yousuf Raza Gilani had no connection or role in the ephedrine quota case and that he had not been issued any notices over his assets and properties. The court ordered the seizure of assets of former health Secretary and three pharmaceuticals companies over their failure to appear for the hearing. The hearing of the case was subsequently adjourned to July 30.
