Pakistani Leader: US Plots instability in Baluchistan province

President of Pakistan\'s Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam Maulana Fazl-Ur-Rahman warned that the US is attempting to create insecurity in Pakistan\'s Southwestern Baluchistan province in a bid to destabilize the region, similar to what it has done in the Northern Waziristan province.\"The US is hatching plots to create a situation in Baluchistan like the situation in Waziristan,\" Fazl-Ur-Rahman cautioned on Sunday. He also reiterated that the US is seeking to use Haqqani armed opposition network to destabilize Pakistan, and said the US likely intends to use the Quetta Council as its next means and instrument for creating insecurities in the Baluchistan province. Fazl-Ur-Rahman viewed the strategic partnership between Pakistan and the US as much harmful to Islamabad, and said the government should review its foreign policy. Senior Pakistani politicians have repeatedly cautioned about the heavy costs of Pakistan\'s participation in the US alleged war on terrorism, and demanded the country\'s officials to step out of the costly war. \"This is not a war on terrorism, but it is a war waged by the US and its allies such as France, India, Israel and Britain against Pakistan and its nuclear program,\" Former president of Jamaat-e-Islami Pakistan (Pakistan Islamic Community) Qazi Hossein Ahmad told FNA in Islamabad in June. He called on the Pakistani officials to take the necessary political decisions to defuse the US plots.
