Pakistani MPs demand end to US drone strikes

A Pakistani parliamentary commission on Tuesday demanded an end to American drone operations on the country’s territory. The demand was announced as the parliament opened a debate on reengagement with the US, AP said. If the proposal is adopted, it will jeopardize efforts to rebuild ties between the two countries. The relations soured after US air strikes along the Afghan border in November that killed 24 Pakistani soldiers.
