Prime Minister of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan Raja Pervez Ashraf has valued the historical relations between his country and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. In a press statement made during his participation last night in a ceremony held by the Saudi Embassy in Pakistan on the occasion of the 82nd anniversary of the National Day, he said that Pakistan attaches great importance to its close relations with the Kingdom, stressing that these relations stem from religious, historical and social common values and are based on bonds of brotherhood, love and compatibility of views on most regional and international issues. He said, 'Pakistan is proud of its relations with the Kingdom and considers them a source of strength.' He praised Saudi support for Pakistan in times of difficulties and the exemplary efforts of Saudi Ambassador to Pakistan Abdulaziz Al-Ghadeer in the promotion and strengthening of friendly relations between the two brotherly countries.
