Palastine presidency warns of implications of Israeli escalation

The presidency, in a statement Thursday, warned of the serious implications of the ongoing Israeli escalation, following the death of three Palestinians.Presidency spokesperson Nabil abu Rudineh said that President Mahmoud Abbas is making intensive calls with all regional and international parties to explain the implications of the Israeli escalation on the security and stability in the region, in addition to its implications on the U.S. efforts which aim to revive the peace process.He added that the Israeli government’s insistence on this escalation cannot be tolerated.He held the Israeli government responsible for this escalation and for its dangerous consequences on U.S. and international efforts to resume negotiations.“This escalation proves that the Israeli government only looks at reality through the brute power; settlement activities and Judaization, which destroys all chances of peace and the two-state solution that gained the international consensus.”Israeli Soldiers shot and killed two Palestinian teens during confrontations that erupted near Tulkarem on Wednesday night.Prisoner Maysara Abu Hamdiya died of cancer while in Israeli detention on Saturday due to medical negligence by the Israeli prison services.
