Secretary of the Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO) Saeb Erekat asked the United Nations to launch an investigation into extrajudicial killings by Israel.
Erekat made the remarks during his meeting with UN Special Coordinator for the Middle East Peace Process Nickolay Mladenov on Monday.
The Palestinian diplomat cited several extrajudicial killing cases, including the field execution of the 18-year-old Palestinian girl Hadeel al Hashlamon.
Some 207 extrajudicial killings were committed by the occupation forces, he stated.
Erekat added that previous Israeli investigations have failed to "serve justice" and instead, he argued Israel has been rewarded with impunity.
He, meanwhile, addressed the collective punishment faced by Palestinians at the hands of Israelis, including seizing the bodies of the martyrs, demolishing homes as well as arbitrary deportation.
Being a member of a number of international organizations and bodies, like the international Criminal Court, Palestine offers full support with regard to documenting reports and evidences in order to be sent to the UN for immediate investigations.
