Palestinian mission at UN delivers representation request

The Palestinian mission at the United Nations presented early on Wednesday the application for representation of Palestine as a non-member state in the international organization, an official of the Palestinian Authority announced. Dr. Riad Al-Maleki said in a statement, \"We have delivered a copy of the draft resolution in an official manner to the General Assembly of the United Nations. \"It was registered and turned into an official document.\" Al-Maleki indicated in remarks to Voice of Palestine Radio that the assembly would hold voting on the request and a decision was expected by Thursday. He added that only minor amendments were introduced in the paper and that the wording was maintained despite pressures by some influential powers to make basic modifications.
