The Palestinian Presidency said Sunday that accord between Iran and world powers was a message to Israel that making peace is inevitable. "What happened in Geneva was an important message to Israel that there is no way to avoid agreeing on making peace," Nabil Abu Rdineh, spokesperson for the Palestinian presidency, said. "Geneva deal is a proof that peace can never be achieved without a deal based on justice," Abu Rdineh continued, adding " peace can never be achieved either by nuclear weapons or by occupation." He also expressed the Palestinian presidency's support for the deal "to clean the Middle East from nuclear weapons." Israeli media reports cited Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu as saying that the deal "is a historic mistake," adding that Israel is not committed to the deal and won't allow any development in the Iranian nuclear program. The landmark six-month deal, which was struck in Geneva today, temporarily halts Iran's nuclear program to give international mediators more time for a wider agreement and making sure that the Iranian uranium enrichment is only for peaceful usage.
