Palestinians: Israel proposal leaves settlements bases intact

A Palestinian official says Israel has made a new proposal over provisional borders of a new Palestinian state but the deal would leave dozens of Jewish settlements and military bases intact in the West Bank.The Palestinians say they’ll oppose the offer, fearing that any temporary arrangement could become permanent. Israeli officials have yet to comment. The Palestinian announcement is the most detailed insight into the current round of peace talks, which recently restarted after a five-year break.
