
Prime Minister-designate Tammam Salam received at his residence in Musaytbeh the Ambassador of France to Lebanon Patrice Paoli with whom he discussed latest developments.Pauli conveyed a message of friendship and best wishes for the New Year to the Prime Minister-designate and wished him success in the formation of the government, "which Lebanon urgently needs.""France supports the Lebanese institutions, the President of the Republic and the Lebanese army, and backs all efforts to find a formula for the Lebanese government. France does not intend to interfere in Lebanese affairs or take a position on the formula that should be adopted in the government formation," he confirmed.Later on, Salam received the Ambassador of the European Union Angelina Eichhorst with whom he discussed various topics and recent developments in Lebanon and the region.
