A number of peaceful demonstrations were held after Friday prayers in Amman and other governorates calling for comprehensive reforms. The protesters stressed the need to fight corruption, dissolve the parliament and achieve economic and political reforms. In Amman, a march was organized from Al- Husseini Mosque towards Al Nakheel Square near the Greater Amman Municipality’s headquarters in downtown Amman, reported Jordan Petra news agency . Former prime minister Ahmad Obeidat delivered a speech stressing the need to speed up political reform to achieve justice and protect national facilities. In addition to Amman, the demonstrations were held in Karak, Jerash, Maan, Shoubak, and Tafila.
